Descon began in 1977 as an engineering services company for process plants. Today it operates across three business lines — engineering, power and chemicals — with its flagship engineering business active in nine countries and employing teams from more than 30 nationalities.
What has not changed is the discipline the work demands. Industrial plants are unforgiving of shortcuts. That reality shapes how we hire, how we train, and why safety performance is the first number we report rather than the last.

Descon began in 1977, in a five-hundred-square-foot office with a handful of engineers and a conviction that complex process-plant work could be done to international standard by a team built from scratch. Almost five decades on, that team designs, builds, maintains and operates industrial facilities in nine countries.
Descon Engineering is our flagship company and the core of the business. It serves oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, fertilizer, cement, power, hydropower, renewable energy, water infrastructure, sugar and general industrial clients. Our specialisms are EPC, construction, maintenance and industrial services, infrastructure, manufacturing, and automation and control.
Descon Engineering operates in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Azerbaijan, South Africa and Pakistan, with teams drawn from more than 30 nationalities. Every capability sits in-house. For clients that means one accountable provider from FEED through to long-term plant operation, rather than a chain of interfaces where responsibility gets lost between contractors.
Alongside engineering, Descon operates two further businesses. Descon Oxychem Limited manufactures hydrogen peroxide and allied products for the textile, paper, food, mining, cosmetics and poultry sectors.
Descon Power Solutions provides operations and maintenance services for thermal and renewable power plants in Pakistan.
In its continuing endeavor to spur economic growth in Pakistan, Descon’s recent foray into the agriculture sector seeks to innovate and improve upon the existing farm productivity and agriculture value-chain, help provide the nation with nutritious produces and sustained economic growth.
