CEO Communication Sessions are a key element of the organization’s overall strategy to live its Core Values and promote an environment of open communication. Descon Engineering Limited (Pakistan & overseas) conducted its first CEO Communication Session for the fiscal year 20-21, bringing together employees and key stakeholders of the company.
The event was opened by Maqsood Ali, President HR, who further passed it on to the CEO, Nadeem Bajwa. Speaking on the closing of Fiscal Year 19-20, the intention was to abreast all the employees aware of the progress made, challenges faced and key take away of the previous year.
Maqsood Ali shared his views and stated that, “We are committed to the flow of open and honest communications across all levels of our organization. We want our employees to make our core values part of their DNA and to continue to reflect back and understand where we stand and what the future holds for Descon.”
Nadeem Bajwa started the session with elaborating the importance of each core value i.e. CLATOS – Continuous Improvement, Leadership, Accountability & Ownership, Teamwork, Open Communication & Safety. Speaking on the previous fiscal year performance he shared that Descon has achieved 24.83 Million Safe Man-hours across Descon Engineering Limited with ZERO LTI, a remarkable milestone for the company, in addition to reduction in the number of “Hazards reported” as compared to the year 2018-19.
The CEO explained issues and challenges Descon has faced in the previous fiscal year 19-20 through radical transparency in terms of business growth, revenues, and profit. He emphasized on the company’s purpose of existence in order to improve and help employees bond better and work together to achieve the common business goal.
The CEO also addressed questions related to the acquisition plans, new business generation, performance appraisals and employee engagement.
