Our Learning Philosophy
 

We believe ours is a unique culture, continuously evolving.  Our people actively create an environment that is conductive and forms an integral part of the workforce development process with us. The learning culture is nurtured encompassing employees that range from the senior management to the unskilled labor, primarily through two of our well-established training setups i.e. the Management Development Center (MDC) and the Descon Training Institute (DTI).


   Management Development Center (MDC)

The Management Development Center at Descon sets future directions for all training and development activities focused on imparting new knowledge, skills and abilities to enhance the performance of our employees, for their current as well as their future roles within the Organization.


   Descon Training Institute (DTI)

Descon Training Institute was established in 1988. Since then the institute has earned distinction in disseminating technical trainings to more than 12,000 trainees in fourteen different professional crafts.

Competent workforce is the key to productivity and competitiveness and DTI has always strived to provide the training on demand. The construction sector is strategically very important for any country because it provides and builds the infrastructure on which all other sectors of a country's economy depend. With hundreds of operatives directly employed in this area, it is the largest growing industrial employment sector within the country as well as overseas. DTI imparts trainings to these demands of the construction industry so that the young trainees acquire the knowledge and the competence to become part of a successful workforce, be it at Descon or elsewhere.
