Descon Power Solutions participated in the 9th International Exhibition for Energy Industry at Karachi Expo Centre. It was a three day event (17-19 May, 2011), which brought together the most significant companies and people to explore new business prospects, access to expanding markets and expansion of own market presence.

This exhibition was a platform which provided DPS with an opportunity to chip in the most influential energy event in the region. Many benefits were gained by participating in the event which includes a chance to show case the products and technology of MWM, development of customers base, meeting prospect customers, intellectually influencing industry peers, creation, maintenance and enhancement of brand awareness and gaining recognition at a broader level.

 

 

The touching pictures of the flood victims in Pakistan that were broadcast in the media did their part in triggering a unique donation campaign among the employees of MWM GmbH. The employees of the tradition-rich company, which has long-standing business contacts with Pakistan, quickly came to the conclusion that the people there needed quick assistance without any bureaucratic hassle.

 
The acceptance within the team was very high, resulting in a collection of more than EUR 5,000 from the employees alone. Impressed by this campaign, the management of MWM promptly decided to increase the collected amount to a remarkable EUR 15,000.

This donation was recently handed over to the German Red Cross for aid purposes in Pakistan. Volker Dressler, Vice-Chairman of the German Red Cross District Association, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the German Red Cross, especially acknowledging the great commitment of the MWM employees, and promised to report as soon as possible on how the donation was used on site to relieve the people in Pakistan.

In pursuit of our vision to provide complete power solutions, DPS is looking into possibilities of supplying diesel generators in Pakistan.

Mr M. Abou El Nasr, representative of Mets Energy Lebanon, visited Descon Headquarters to discuss the prospects of Mets Energy working along with Descon Power Solutions in this regard.
